SASKATOON — Saskatoon police are investigating two separate machete assaults that occurred in different neighbourboods late Monday and early Tuesday.
Officers were first called to the Confederation Park neighbourhood, in the 3100 block of Laurier Drive around 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 26. Police found a 33-year-old man suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He told officers he had been inside an apartment when three males forced their way in and attacked him with a machete. He was taken to hospital.
A second call came just after 1 a.m. on Jan. 27, when police responded to a home in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood, in the1600 block of 22nd Street West. A 46-year-old man reported that six to seven people entered his suite and assaulted him with a machete. He also sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
