ESTEVAN — A member of the Estevan RCMP has been suspended with pay after being arrested and charged late last year.
Const. Kristopher McMahon, who was 32 at the time of his arrest on Nov. 10, 2025, is charged with one count of theft under $5,000, and another for break and enter to a place and committing an indictable offence.
He had his first appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on Jan. 19. His matter was adjourned to March 2 so that his attorney can obtain disclosure.
His lawyer waived reading of the charges.
In an email to SaskToday, the Saskatchewan RCMP said McMahon has seven years of service. He is currently suspended with pay.
The RCMP added an officer’s duty status is determined as part of the RCMP’s Code of Conduct process. Generally speaking, duty status is continually assessed as part of any court and internal processes.
SaskToday will have updates as they become available.
