REGINA — Police charged a youth after three people were sprayed with bear spray at a business in west-central Regina Tuesday evening.
Officers were called to the 1800 block of Lewvan Drive at about 7:55 p.m. on Jan. 27 for a report of a weapons offence involving bear spray. Regina police say a suspect sprayed three people before fleeing the area on foot.
EMS treated the victims at the scene for what appeared to be minor injuries.
Following an investigation, police charged a 16-year-old boy with three counts of assault with a weapon and one count of failing to comply with conditions of a release order. He can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on March 9.
