SASKATOON — A 27-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly threatening another person with knives and a blowtorch before fleeing an apartment through a window.
Saskatoon police say they were called Thursday morning to a suite in the 10 block of Maxwell Crescent, where a woman was reported to be armed and threatening another occupant.
Officers contained the area and located the suspect a short time later in the 1000 block of Matheson Drive. Police say a Taser was used during her arrest.
Tianna Skye Desjarlais is charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer with a weapon and uttering death threats.
She makes her first appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court Jan. 30.
Police say no one was physically injured in the incident.
