WATERHEN FIRST NATION — Saskatchewan RCMP Homicide Investigation Unit are investigating a suspicious death on Waterhen First Nation
On Jan. 30 at approximately 8:45 a.m., Meadow Lake RCMP received a report of an injured male at a residence on Waterhen First Nation.
Officers responded and located a seriously injured man, who was later pronounced dead by EMS at the scene.
Police say they are not providing further identifying information at this time. The man's family has been notified and victim services made available to them.
The death was considered suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP Homicide Investigation Unit took charge of the investigation.
Police say they are unable to provide additional information about this investigation at this time. Updates will be provided when available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, police will notify the public.
