Circle the date, Red Sox fans — May 28. That’s when the road to a repeat officially begins for the defending Western Canadian Baseball League champions.
Fresh off hoisting their third Harry Hallis Memorial Trophy, the Regina Red Sox are wasting no time getting back to work, announcing their full 56-game regular-season schedule for 2026. And if you like summer nights at Currie Field, there’s plenty to look forward to.
The champs open the season with a pair of road tests, starting Thursday, May 28, in Medicine Hat before a Highway 1 rivalry tilt in Moose Jaw on Friday, May 29. Then it’s back to the Queen City, where Currie Field will come alive for the home opener on Saturday, May 30, a rematch with the Mavericks to kick off a four-game homestand.
In all, the Red Sox will play 28 home games and 28 on the road, with the schedule featuring stretches that will test the club’s depth and resilience. Regina’s longest homestand runs July 12–19, a six-game stretch loaded with big matchups, including visits from Okotoks, Brooks, Lethbridge and Saskatoon for the WCBL All-Star Game. Right after that, the Sox head into the grind of their biggest road swing: eight games in nine days from July 21–29.
“We’re thrilled to unveil the 2026 schedule for the Regina Red Sox as we look to repeat as Western Canadian Baseball League champions,” said Gord Pritchard, CEO of Queen City Sports & Entertainment. “With a full 56-game schedule and 28 games at Currie Field, our fans have plenty to look forward to, and we can’t wait to share more about what’s in store both on the diamond and at Currie Field.”
