SASKATOON — A man has been arrested following a stabbing reported last week after an altercation inside a restaurant and lounge on the west side.
Dylan Blake Ahenakew, 31, is charged with aggravated assault, along with two counts each of possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and mischief.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., Jan. 26, patrol officers located a man suffering from serious injuries at a home in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood, in the 200 block of Avenue W South. Police learned he was involved in a physical altercation with two other men inside a restaurant and lounge in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West.
A suspect was identified and located by patrol officers on Jan. 31 after he was observed getting into a taxi in the 200 block of St. Paul's place. During his arrest, officers found a machete in his possession.
Ahenakew appeared in court on Feb. 2.
