SASKATOON — A 19-year-old man is facing charges after police say he returned to the same downtown mall where he and another suspect robbed a man the day before.
Officers were called to Midtown Mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South on Jan. 15 after two suspects armed with a knife and bear spray robbed a male victim of his property in a stairwell.
Saskatoon police say the next day, they were called back to the mall when one of the suspects – wearing the same clothing during the robbery a day prior – was spotted at the mall. Officers arrested him and found he was carrying a knife, a can of bear spray, and stolen property.
The 19-year-old was arrested and charged with robbery and on outstanding warrants.
