REGINA — Regina police have arrested a fourth person in the murder of 56-year-old Michael Norman Ross.
Destin Doherty, 30, has been arrested and will make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Feb. 5. He is charged with committing an indignity to a dead body and accessory after the fact to murder.
Doherty, and Shyla Keewatin were arrested on Feb. 3.
Keewatin, 33, is charged with first-degree murder and committing an indignity to a body in the death of Michael Ross. Keewatin is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Wednesday.
Steven Lee Myslichuk, 37, was arrested on Jan. 26. He is charged with knowingly assisting a person who had murdered Ross to escape and indecently interfering with Ross’s remains on Jan. 17 by placing the body in a hockey bag, putting it in a vehicle trunk, and driving around the city.
Kobe Samuel Fiddler, 26, is charged with interfering with human remains on Jan. 19 by driving around the city with the body in a hockey bag in the trunk, fleeing from police, knowingly assisting the person who killed Ross to escape, having and concealing a pellet gun, and possession of a firearm, a pellet gun, while prohibited.
Police found Ross’s body in the trunk of a vehicle after attempting a traffic stop downtown near Saskatchewan Drive and Albert Street around 3 a.m. on Jan. 19. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop. The Aerial Support Unit later located it in the 1400 block of Princess Street, but the occupants had already fled the scene.
