REGINA — A 45-year-old man has been charged after a pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run Thursday afternoon.
Regina police were called around 12:50 p.m. on Feb. 5 to a report of a collision in the 2200 block of Victoria Avenue. The initial police investigation determined that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. The driver briefly stopped at the scene before leaving the area.
Further investigation led officers to identify and locate the suspect vehicle parked at a business in the 2200 block of Victoria Avenue. At approximately 1:47 p.m., the driver was taken into custody without incident.
The pedestrian, a woman, was taken to hospital by EMS with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The man has been charged with failure to stop after an accident that resulted in bodily harm. He appears in Regina Provincial Court on March 19.
