Despite warmer than normal temperatures for this time of year, Regina’s winter festival, Frost, officially kicked off on Saturday with all kinds of events for families to take in. Events will be taking place in various locations throughout the city including Wascana Park, downtown, and at REAL District.
“One of the things we wanted to do was to weatherproof the festival as much as possible,” noted Teale Orban of Tourism Regina. “Part of that was putting on three weekends allowing for as much time for people to be able to enjoy the events and the activities.”

Events at Mosaic Stadium
Orban says horse-drawn carriage rides are back near the Legislature building, dog sledding will be returning, and Olympic-style activities will be taking place on the Mosaic Stadium field such as a biathlon course.
Frost will run two more weekends on February 13th-16th and again on February 20th to 22nd before concluding for the year. Some events are free to try while others will require tickets. Visitors are encouraged to visit the Frost Regina website for details and for updates on any changes that may occur.
