The CEO of the Regina and District Chamber of Commerce says huge investments in the city by both Cargill and Viterra say a lot about the economic climate here.
John Hopkins says the announcement by both companies to build canola-crushing plants just reinforces Saskatchewan’s role as a global leader in agriculture.
Hopkins adds this will be a big boon to Regina as we start move out of the pandemic, because it will send the message that this is a great place to invest.
“Regina is a place where we can see investment and people come here.” Hopkins said. “We are growing agriculture in our economy which is nothing but positive seeing Saskatchewan is all about agriculture in many, many ways. ”
He adds this speaks well to the investment climate in Saskatchewan, Canada and Regina and that others may see what is here and decide to invest.
