REGINA — A five-month drug trafficking investigation involving police agencies in Saskatchewan and Manitoba has led to four arrests and the seizure of more than $650,000 worth of drugs and cash.
The Regina Police Service Drug Unit and Regina Crime Reduction Team led the operation, with assistance from the Brandon Police Service organized Crime Unit and the Saskatoon Police Service.
On Feb. 7, officers executed four search warrants under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Two warrants were in Regina, one in Davidson, and one in Brandon, Man.
Investigators seized significant quantities of drugs, including more than five kilograms of cocaine, over one kilogram of fentanyl, and 183 grams of methamphetamine. Police also recovered $25,705 in cash. The estimated street value of the drugs is in excess of $650,000, say police.
Arrests connected to the investigation were made in Regina, Moosomin, Brandon, and Davidson.
Those charged include 43-year-old Timothy York of Edmonton, 56-year-old Bernadette Gunn of Stockholm, Sask., 50-year-old Sean Timothy Hogan of Regina, and 54-year-old Glenda Dale Neddow of Moosomin. The charges laid against them include drug trafficking charges, participation in organized crime, and possession of proceeds of crime.
All four made their first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Feb. 9.
