ESTEVAN — Charges have been laid after a stolen vehicle was recovered in the southeast.
According to a news release, the Estevan RCMP responded to a request for a well-being check on an individual parked in a truck on the side of a road near Hirsch on Feb. 10.
The RCMP says officers responded and located the truck on Township Road 30. Officers approached the truck and spoke with the man inside. As a result of investigation, the RCMP said officers determined the truck was previously reported as stolen from Regina. The man was arrested at the scene and the truck was recovered by police.
A 40-year-old Carievale man is charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 under the Criminal Code. He appeared in Estevan Provincial Court on Feb. 11 and is scheduled to be back in court on March 9.
