REGINA — Average retail gasoline prices in Regina have fallen 1.3 c/L in the past week, averaging 124.65 c/L yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 82 gas outlets in Regina.
“The national average price of gasoline in Canada continues to trend higher, with most provinces seeing another week of increases, though Manitoba and Saskatchewan were notable exceptions where above-average gasoline inventories have helped limit the climb,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
“While the pace of gains remains measured for now, upward momentum could build in the weeks ahead as refinery maintenance progresses and the seasonal transition toward summer gasoline advances. That said, broader supply-side dynamics could temper the move higher. If OPEC+ moves forward with resuming production increases following its first-quarter pause, additional global supply could cap crude oil’s upside and limit the magnitude of the seasonal rally. Still, geopolitical tensions — particularly involving the U.S. and Iran — remain a key risk factor, injecting uncertainty into the outlook and leaving fuel prices vulnerable to sudden swings.”
