REGINA — Police have charged four people after a 15-year-old boy was robbed and bear-sprayed in Regina’s downtown on Monday evening.
Regina Police Service officers were called around 5:30 p.m. to the 2300 block of 12th Avenue, where they found the youth suffering from the effects of bear spray. He told police he had been walking with a woman when a group approached, threatened to shoot him if he didn’t hand over his jacket, then sprayed him and fled with the stolen clothing.
About 15 minutes later, officers located and arrested three suspects matching the descriptions provided. A fourth suspect was found shortly after.
Three adults were charged with robbery. They appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Tuesday morning.
A 16‑year‑old male, who can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is also charged with robbery.
Police say they continue to investigate.
