Am I the only one who’s internal clock gets a little screwed up during a 4 day workweek? Sometimes a short workweek flies by while other times it seems to last longer than a regular week.
For me it all starts on Sunday, which feels like a regular Sunday. Then we have the holiday Monday, which again, feels like a Sunday. The problem is, I’m not a big fan of Sunday, which means I actually have two of those before heading back to work on Tuesday, which in all fairness, does feel like an actual Monday. It’s a confusing way to kick off a new week.
On Tuesday I titled my blog “Monday Morning Thoughts.” I didn’t realize until a couple of days later that it should have been titled “Tuesday Morning Thoughts.” A simple mistake, I guess. Tuesday was the first day of the workweek, but it felt like a Monday. Sheesh.
Yesterday I kept asking myself, “Is it only Thursday?” I really don’t know what day Thursday should actually feel like, but all I knew that this short workweek couldn’t wrap up quickly enough for me.
When I rolled out of bed this morning my first thought was that it better be Friday. I was right! Finally nailed what day of the week it was and it only took me four days!
All I can say is thank goodness that next week we’re back to a normal five workweek. I don’t think my mind could take two of these in a row.
