ONION LAKE – Onion Lake RCMP seized a quantity of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
On Feb. 16 at around 8 p.m., Onion Lake RCMP were making proactive patrols and located an SUV that had fled from police the day prior. The SUV was parked outside a residence in Onion Lake.
Officers activated their vehicle’s emergency equipment and pulled in behind the SUV. As a result of the investigation, officers located and seized approximately 19 grams of methamphetamine, a sword, and a hatchet from inside the vehicle. A woman was arrested at the scene.
A 22-year-old woman, from Onion Lake, is charged with one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on April 15.
