Gaining steam is the annual fundraiser known as CFL Fans Fight Cancer. With this being the 20th Anniversary, each CFL city fan base will look forward to organizing and building a year of events to help bolster the coffers for the Grey Cup Host city’s CFL Fans Fight Cancer chapter. In 2026, the money raised across Canada will be donated to the Calgary Branch of CFL FFC during Grey Cup Saturday. That money says with the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
The grand total raised was over 75,000 last year. The Winnipeg group did a fantastic job of hosting during Grey Cup 112 Winnipeg. Wall to wall people representing every team gathered together for food, drink and fun celebrating not just the game of football, but also recognizing those that have or are battling cancer.
This Saturday in Regina, PumpJack’s Cathedral 2062 Albert Street, will be the host venue for the ’26 Kick Off Event for the Saskatchewan Chapter of CFL Fans Fight Cancer. The time is 6pm, with kids able to attend up to 8pm. Games, prizes and other chances for you to help raise money with some surprises to go along with the night.
Good Morning Saskatchewan had the opportunity to chat with Tammy Jones about Saturday night’s event.
