Province turns 117 years old today
What’s 117 years old and shaped much like a rectangle? It’s the province of Saskatchewan, which like Alberta is celebrating the big day. The two provinces were carved out of the Northwest Territories in 1905. While it was September 1st that Saskatchewan officially became a province, September 4th was the Inauguration Day.
