Kamsack RCMP say they have found the body of 29-year-old Dallas Miller from Benito Manitoba, who was presumed drowned in Madge Lake on Thursday.

Thursday afternoon police were called to Pelican Point after Miller jumped off a boat to save a child that was pulled away by wind and waves.

A woman who was with them was able to retrieve the child from Miller, and safely return to the boat.

RCMP say Miller unfortunately did not resurface after that.

A search of the area was then conducted by family members and the RCMP underwater recovery team.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is continuing to investigate.
