Ponteix

On Monday at 7:45 p.m., Ponteix RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on a grid road six miles north of Vanguard.  The driver, a 65-year-old male from Vanguard, was declared deceased at the scene by EMS.  His family has been notified. The investigation continues with the help of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.

Update – Highway 19 has been reopened to traffic in both directions as of 7:30 p.m. RCMP were warning residents of a serious motor vehicle collision that resulted in the north and south bound lanes on Highway 19 south of Kincaid being blocked.
