Saskatchewan reports 1092 COVID-19 recoveries as hospitalizations reach 3 month high

Hospitalizations continue to climb for another day in the province of Saskatchewan, on a positive note so do provincial recovery numbers.

The province now has 215 hospitalized cases of COVID-19, including 23 people in the ICU.

Saskatchewan reported 1158 new cases, and currently has close to 12,000 active cases in the province. Among the new cases 366 are reported in the Saskatoon area, 349 in the Regina zone, 66 in the south east region

The provincial test positivity rate is climbing – now sitting at 33%.

The province also reported more than 1000 full recoveries from the COVID-19 virus.

Provincialy vaccinations saw an increase of 2020 doses with 1263 Saskatchewan residents receiving their second shot.
