Up to six-million Canadians could have information stolen thanks to Capital One data breach

Capital One doesn’t think it’s likely that information a hacker accessed has been used for fraud.

Although that’s cold comfort to the six-million Canadians and 100-million Americans whose personal information was compromised.

Paige A. Thompson, who also goes by the handle “erratic,” is charged with a single count of computer fraud and abuse.

The bank is offering free credit monitoring services to its clients.
