Vonn Chorneyko is back in Regina after getting a bone marrow transplant in Minneapolis.

A post from the family on Facebook says the family drove home together after Vonn’s last doctors appointment on Tuesday and he was very happy to be in his own bed.

The family adds that they are taking it day-by-day to get him back up to his original weight and return to normalcy.

Vonn is expected to be back at school after Christmas.
