Phase 4.2 of Re-Open Saskatchewan begins Monday

Phase 4.2 of the provincial government’s Re-Open Saskatchewan plan takes effect on Monday.

As of now, libraries, museums, art galleries and movie theatres can open.

Both Cineplex and Landmark Cinemas in Regina have said they won’t open until this weekend, with the Royal Saskatchewan Museum saying they will delay their opening with the Regina Public Library also indicating they will not open today, with a July 13th date being planned.

Protocols in place include a maximum of 30 per cent capacity and up to 150 people per theatre room, as long as physical distancing exists between non-household contacts.

Indoor pools, rinks, sports, casinos and bingo halls are still closed, but it’s expected Premier Scott Moe will announce a re-opening date for those places later this week.

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in the province on Sunday, in the far north.

As of Monday morning 104 cases are considered active.
