More than 180,000 votes counted in advance polls across Saskatchewan

Elections Canada says voter turnout at advance polls held last Friday to Monday saw increased totals from the 2019 federal election.

Just under 183-thousand people cast their vote over those days which was about 30,000 people more than two years ago.

The riding of Regina-Lewvan saw the most advance votes with 18,740, up 4,001 voters from 2019,

Out of the 14 ridings in Saskatchewan, 13 reported higher numbers this year compared to two years ago.

On a national level, nearly 5.8 million Canadians have already voted.

As always, 620 CKRM will have special election coverage Monday evening, as results begin to roll in.
