Sask Polytechnic in Moose Jaw to offer farming program

Another option is going to be available for those interested in a career in agriculture.

Sask Polytechnic will be offering a three year Agriculture and Food Production Diploma Program at its Moose Jaw campus.

Dean Jamie Hilts says the program is a cross-discipline design that includes farm management, agricultural machinery, new technology and livestock production.

He adds there will be on-field work at a 12 acre parcel of land near Moose Jaw.

There will also be three paid work terms at agricultural businesses or on medium sized to large farms.

The program will begin in September 2022 and has room for 30 students.
