Everyone is celebrating in 2026! All across Canada, Royal Canadian Legion Branches will be celebrating 100 years of service. And while the Legion Branches have had some bumps in the road, they continue to be a strong part of the fabric of community. Branch 001 in Regina is located at 1820 Cornwall Street and offers programming for veterans, the museum and also weekend pub time. There is friendship, food and drink to bring people together. Away from the Branch, the Legion members are raising money at the Regina Serb Club with the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday gift card draws. Just a dollar per ticket per draw and then there’s the 50/50 draw.
This year civilians can sign up to be a Legion Member for FREE. However, if you do become a member, please consider a commitment to serving your branch by volunteering. Remembrance Day of course is a main event but there are other things that can be done including attendance at the Ladies Auxiliary events. Saturday May 2nd a major fundraiser for the Ladies Auxiliary, the annual tea. In the tradition of a tea, there will be sandwiches, squares and tea! Door prizes, Raffle and Bake Table.
