One of Canada’s largest outdoors shows will be happening at the Gallagher Centre in Yorkton this weekend for a 14th year. The Parkland Outdoor Show and Expo presented by Yorkton Dodge is dedicated to those who love to fish, hunt, and just be out in the great outdoors.
“The Parkland Outdoor Show and Expo is a trade show with about 108 vendors this year featuring vendors with firearms, ammunition, fishing lures, taxidermy displays, optics, and if you like to do any kind of hunting and fishing trips, we have plenty of outfitters showing up to sell some trips and get you on that adventure of a lifetime,” explained show Vice-President Nolan Johnson.
In addition to exhibitors, there will be a number of guest speakers this year including Melissa Bachman, host of Winchester Deadly Passion at 11am Saturday, April 25th and again at 10:30am on Sunday. Other speakers include Lisa Roper of Lisa Roper Outdoors, Cody Robbins of Live2Hunt, and Mitchell Payment of Moment of Truth TV.
“We are by far the largest outdoor show of its kind in Western Canada and we pride ourselves on that. This is something great for Yorkton. We get thousands of attendees, hundreds of exhibitors, and lots of great local support from businesses as well to put this show on,” Johnson added.
To kick the weekend off, Gord Bamford will be hosting a concert at the Gallagher Centre Friday evening (April 24th) featuring Dallas Alexander. According to Johnson, very few tickets remain for the concert however there will be some for sale at the door for $60 if they aren’t completely sold out by show time.
The trade show runs from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults and kids 12 and younger get in free.
