eHealth Saskatchewan has revealed the list of the most popular names given to newborns in the province in the past year. It appears more traditional names like William, Jack, Olivia, Sophia, Nora, and Oliver are still very popular in Saskatchewan.
When it comes to boys names, Noah took the top spot with 49 babies given the name. Jack was second with 48 and a three-way tie existed between William, Oliver, and Muhammed each getting 44. Hudson and Theodore were tied in fourth with 41 babies given the names and Levi completed the top five at 40. Other popular boys names in the past year in our province included Leo, Alexander, Henry, Lucas, Weston, Luke, Bennet, Brooks, Liam, Thomas, Benjamin, and Graham.
As for the girls, Olivia was number one with 43 babies given that name followed by Lainey and Nora at 37. The name Amelia was the third most popular with 36 babies given that name. Evelyn and Sophia were fourth with 35, and Aurora rounds out the top five with 34.
Isla, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Sophie, Ellie, Lily, Emma, Sadie, Harper, Hazel, Mia, Willow, and Chloe also made the list of the most popular girl names in the past year.
