Now that the snow is gone, Regina residents and visitors will be seeing those bright orange e-scooters zipping around the city once again. This will be the fourth year Neuron’s e-scooters have been operating in Regina and people have really taken to them.
According to stats from Neuron, riders have traveled over 450,00 kilometers in the city since the units arrived in 2023. 60 per cent of those trips also included a $41 purchase (on average) at a local business which is an estimated $2.4 million addition to the local economy. Neuron says 60 per cent of scooter trips in 2025 replaced a car trip, reducing CO2 emissions in the city.
In a press release from Neuron Mobility, General Manager Ankush Karwal thanked the City of Regina for its ongoing trust and support of the units and called on all riders to follow the rules and safety guidelines.
Riders must be 16 years of age or older to ride the e-scooters while those under 18 will need consent from a parent. Helmets are mandatory for all trips, no tandem riding, and no riding while impaired. Riders can’t operate the units on sidewalks, however they can be used on pathways, bike lanes, and streets.
