The 620 CKRM Country Cookouts, in my opinion, are essential because we act as the ultimate community connector, taking an inclusive deed and transforming it into a face-to-face celebration of the rural families who feed the world. By getting “boots on the ground” right in the farmyards of Saskatchewan, these events bridge the gap between us, agricultural producers, and our community sponsors.
We love to put the spotlight on a well-deserved farming family during demanding seeding and harvest seasons. We made our way out to the Fiacco family between Bethune and Dilke with a stones throw away from Kedleston area. Our main objective is to build a connection so when our listeners turn on the radio to us they have a real-life neighbor and companion, letting our long-time listeners meet us so we are not just a voice they hear in the tractor cab or kitchen. Another goal I like to promote is fostering the rural pride with our Cookouts. These gatherings bring us all together creating a platform where neighbors swap stories, celebrate the passion of the land and ensure small towns do not feel overlooked. Thanks to Brandon, Kyra and their friends, neighbors and family for creating some great memories with us. throw in a catered comfort meal from Nicky’s Cafe & Catering with cold local drinks from Last Mountain Distillery and Original Sixteen along with a live performance from Tommy John Ehman (& bro Rob), it all creates an unforgettable get together.
Our valued clientele make it all happen.

I want to take you to the sights and sounds of my journey before we head to the Fiacco’s. I made stops in Dilke, Sarnia Beach, Kedleston Beach, Grandview Beach, Alice Beach & more. Again, I apologize if I was on your property without permission. I just want to showcase what Saskatchewan has to offer.

at one time Kedleston was a thriving community. Now there is one standing house that has seen “Father Time” ravage it.
