Canadian Western Agribition prepares for a busy year of promoting and executing one of the best livestock shows in the world. Along with the beef industry other aspects of farming, ranching and the western lifestyle are incorporated into the event that is held November 23 to 28 at REAL District in Regina, Saskatchewan. And if you are unfamiliar with what Agribition means to the City of Regina and the surrounding area, here’s a bit of a breakdown submitted by Agribition.
Statistic Summary: – – – –
$151.3 million in provincial economic activity
$92.7 million to provincial GDP (33.2% increase from 2023)
1222 jobs in the province
$5.9 million livestock sales, trade show booth and vendor sales
CWA continues to look into having new and exciting additions to the show. Most recently, Canadian Western Agribition added the Miss Agribition Rodeo competition. Previous winners have done a great job expanding their role travelling the province and beyond. Ari Dyck was the first woman to hold the title, followed by Abbey Harty, whom went on to become Miss Rodeo Canada and this year Shylah Sitter of Edam, Saskatchewan. Ms Sitter will be attending the Pilot Butte Rodeo, Frontier Days in Swift Current, the Indian Head Parade and many more events leading into Agribition 2026. (Audio attached of Shylah’s CKRM interview)
Agribition’s 55th Annual General Meeting is June 17th and will be held at the Turvey Centre. If you are unable to attend it will be live streamed.
