The Maple Leaf will fly high tomorrow and you are invited to the party. A party that sweeps the country celebrating Canada’s 159th birthday. It doesn’t seem that long ago that on January 1st, nine years ago, people were out celebrating the 150th with fireworks and the anticipation of where our very young country was going. And now here we are, much has changed except for the love our country. Let’s not get too carried away, there are many things that have changed and are shaping the way we each see Canada. But the love of the country is evident.
July 1st is our day to stand up, stand together and be proud of our Canada.
Lieutenant Governor, Bernadette McIntyre, joined Good Morning Saskatchewan to give us an a look at the day of Government House. It includes excitement and fun for the family from the main stage to the other events planned. And if the weather decides not to co-operate then, we head into the Government House Ballroom. Some events subject to change due to weather conditions.
