620 CKRM and Bilyk Finiancial are very excited to present Heartstrings and Honkeytonks at Darke Hall in Regina on September 21st at 7pm. The show will feature a number of Canadian artists playing songs and telling stories to a live a crowd and live on the radio at the same time.
“We wanted to do something that was unique,”noted singer Clayton Bellamy. “I’ve been able to play the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville as well as the Grand Ole Opry a number of times (and) we wanted to take a piece from each one of those stories, put it together, and make a unique experience and that’s what Heartstrings and Honkytonks is. It brings the live radio broadcast experience of the Grand Ole Opry and it brings the intimate songwriters/storytelling experience of the Bluebird Cafe.”
The lineup will feature Bellamy, Michelle Wright, the Johner Brothers, Kalsey Kulyk, Dan Davidson, and Saskatchewan’s Evan Baxter.
“The pedigree that Michelle Wright brings is second to none and just being around her, she is such a superstar. She makes you feel like you’re the only one in the room when you’re talking to her,” Bellamy said.
Bellamy is one of the creators of the show alongside Jason McCoy, Dan Davidson, and Chris Melnychuk. Past performers have included Duane Steele, Patricia Conroy, Brett Kissel, Aaron Goodvin, Jake Matthews, and George Fox, among many others.
