What can we say about our 1st, 620 CKRM Country Cookout, for the Harvest season, in Lipton last night, with the Hubers, other than a perfect rendezvous with our valued rural listeners.

The 620 CKRM Fall Country Cookout has served as a beloved Saskatchewan tradition that delivers on many levels by bringing community, local entertainment, and much-needed stress relief/camaraderie directly to farming families during the grueling harvest season. Another fully catered “Farm-to-Table” feast from Nicky’s Cafe & Catering alongside live acoustic performance from Kelten Chyz, the cookout creates an atmosphere for family/friends/neighbors to share stories, recharge, and connect. More than just a meal under the Land Of The Living Skies, these gatherings act as a bond to tight-knit rural towns that often feel overlooked, fostering a sense of belonging along with local pride. For us, this gathering provides an expression of gratitude for Saskatchewan’s agricultural industry, honoring the resilient multi-generational producers who form the backbone of the provincial economy and literally feed the world.
