Right from the start, September is chocked full of fun and excitement. Everyone is talking football, but let’s just check on some of the other things going on. Whether it is grand opening a business, listening to bells toll in downtown Regina, taking in the Farmer’s Market or discovering something really different at Wascana Park, there will be something to keep your whole family entertained.
Friday was the opening of the newest rage in Regina, a Crumbl location in East Regina within the Aurora shopping district. You know where Costco is! One thing we know, people in Saskatchewan will line up to try a new business. Many of the people in line have tried the Crumbl product before. I had a chance to pop into the store, the owner/ operators of both Saskatoon and now Regina’s store, Heather and Dylan Pearson offering information on the store. ‘ 
Good Luck to the employees and the owners, the cookies are very tasty and we appreciate the samples of the core cookies.
Tomorrow, the Memorial Tolling for King Harald V of Norway and King Rukidi IV of Tooro Uganda will take place from the Knox United Church Bell Tower. The tandem tolling bells for the two monarchs will begin at Noon and continue to 5pm. General public are invited to stop by.
Regina Downtown BID loves Saturday for the Farmer’s Market and this weekend special events wrapping around the long weekend. The Courts at the Skuare is a happening Saturday and Sunday giving visitors a chance to spend time enjoying this Labour Day weekend.
For those that want to experience something amazing and very innovative the 2026 SWAMP Fest takes place on Willow Island. Vendors, music and all things swampy.
Any car enthusiast will be hoping the rain stays far away from us this weekend. Monday the Access Communications Labour Day Car Show will be held. Always a hit, money raised at the event goes to the Food Bank. The Rain Delay date would be Sunday, Sept 13th.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders look forward to seeing fans from near and far this weekend. The Harvard stations will be at Mosaic Stadium today for The Capital Automotive Fan Day. And while Labour Day’s game is sold out, you can always stop by the Tailgate party, the Party in the Park or any other surrounding events.
