Sunday and Monday proved to be very soggy over much of Saskatchewan thanks to a slow-moving low pressure system. Weyburn and surrounding area received signifcant overland flooding thanks to heavy rain, turning streets into rivers and yards into miniature lakes.
While rain was welcomed by some, it’s considered detrimental for farmers as they scramble to get the harvest off the field and into the bin. Large hail was reported in the Kipling and Windthorst area on Sunday causing unwanted damage to crops, especially on canola.
