Thanks to a mild fall, the City of Regina has extended their seasonal off-leash dog areas for residents. The city allows boarded outdoor rinks to be used by dog owners in the summer months to allow dogs to run freely.
There are currently eight seasonal off-leash areas for pet owners to take their dogs too. These include M.J. Coldwell Park, Glencairn Park, Leslie Park, Mike Badham Park, Rosemont School Park, Westhill Park Rink, Rochdale Park, and Litzenberger Park.
Usually the seasonal off-leash parks close on September 30th, however the closure date has been pushed back to November 20th. After the 20th, the outdoor rinks will be locked allowing city crews to prepare them for winter ice skating.
Seasonal off-leash areas are open from 4pm to 11pm on school days and 6am to 11pm on non-school days.
