Canadians from coast to coast to coast are hoping their Lotto Max tickets are the lucky ones Friday night. The Lotto Max has climbed to the largest lotto jackpot in Canadian history, $90 million. Prior to April, the Lotto Max jackpot was capped at $80 million, however that cap was raised to $90 million.
In addition to the massive jackpot, there are 18 Maxmillion prizes worth $1 million each and 90 Maxplus draws worth $100,00 each making the Lotto Max total $117 million.
According to lottery officials, the odds of winning the jackpot is 1 in 33,446,140 per $6 play. To put that into perspective, the odds of getting struck by lightening is less than 1 in 1 million and the odds of dying from a meteorite strike in your lifetime is 1 in 1.6 million.
Tonight’s draw will be at 8:30pm Saskatchewan time.
The previous record jackpot was $80.4 million, which was won by two friends in London, ON in December 2025.
