Police say the police operation in the 800 block of Edgar Street is now concluded. Residents in the area can resume their regular activities. Police say there were shots fired somewhere on the block earlier this morning and had issued a temporary shelter-in-place advisory for that area’s residents. The investigation is ongoing.

Police are investigating what appears to be gunfire early this morning. Police say just after midnight they were called to Rae Street, west of Albert, after someone reported hearing up to six gunshots.
