Riders schedule heavy on weekend dates

If you like your Rider games on Saturdays, 2020 will be right up your alley.

Of the Riders 18 regular-season games, 11 will be on Saturdays. Five of them will be at Mosaic Stadium starting with a game against BC on July 4.

The Riders have a bye in the opening week. They will play their first regular season game June 19 vs. Montreal.

The Riders get three home dates in July, two each in August on September. And they will play four of their final five games of the season on the road.

Their road game vs. the Argos will be played at a yet-to-be-announced neutral site.

The Riders will get a extra dose of the West Division’s new coaches: the Riders travel to Edmonton (Scott Milanovich) twice in the regular season, and they will host BC (Rick Campbell) twice.

Perhaps the worst part of the new schedule is that three times the Riders will be playing with just four days off after the previous game.

The season will end with the Grey Cup at Mosaic Stadium on Sunday, November 22.

As always, you’ll hear every Riders game live on 620 CKRM and the Cooperators Roughrider Radio Network.
