Record low temperature set in Regina

After a Saturday where the mercury got well over 30 degrees in Regina, it was a night on Sunday where some were looking for an extra blanket to stay warm.

A cooling pattern came in Sunday as the temperature was over 10 degrees cooler with the night-time low in Regina hitting 3.6 Celsius which is a record low for July 29 breaking the old record set in 1925.

Several other places also broke the record for coldest July 29th on record including Moose Jaw and Fort Qu’Appelle where it got down to just over two degrees.

Hot weather is returning though with temperatures expected to be at or above 30 degrees by Wednesday with the hot temperatures sticking around all through the weekend which should be great news for the Queen City Exhibition which starts Wednesday at Evraz Place.
