Co-op provides $43,000 for new Playground at Crooked Lake

Co-op is providing a $43,000 donation to support construction of a new Playground at Sunset Beach at Crooked Lake, just north of Broadview.

The president of Sunset Beach Recreation, Randy Durovick, says the funds will be used for a $100,000 project to build a new playground and two Pickelball courts.

He says the project will bring the communities of Broadview, Grenfell, Whitewood, Grayson, Cowessess First Nations and other nearby communities to improve the quality of life.

Durovick says fundraising for new playground equipment has been underway since flooding in 2014 and 2015.
